Stefano Mattozzi (born February 18, 1994) is an Italian sound artist, electronic composer, improviser and performer.
He studied under the guidance of Elio Martusciello at the Conservatory of Music of Naples where he completed the master in Electronic Music in 2020.
From 2019 to 2020 he resides in Tallinn (Estonia) and deepens his studies on sound at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (EMTA), delving into visual and performing arts as well.
Music-related projects include alternative pop band "Spectre" and the solo project "Caronte" in which electronic and organic elements blend, with the voice being the main point of conjunction.
Stefano is also part of the orchestral group "OEOAS" and has worked within FLOKS collective as sound artist and vice president.
The aesthetic is linked to the connection between the human body and new technologies, and to the intrinsic modalities and functions of the two worlds.
Through various mediums, he seeks to integrate human technology and nature, with a particular focus on the physical characteristics of sound.
